How to Use Twitter to Build Customer Loyalty

If you are anything like me you are probably of the mindset that the Internet has significantly lessened the level of customer loyalty that most companies are accustomed to.

The reason for this is consumers now have so many choices, they no longer have to rely on digging through the phone book or count on the right “interruption based” advertising message to create a “top of mind awareness” for when they are ready to make a buying decision.

How to Use Twitter for Your Business

Heck, until recently I didn’t really understand the true power of Twitter so I figure this would be a good place to clear it all up.

For the purpose of this article let’s take a quick look at the Internet landscape and compare it to something we can all relate to … The city you live in right now.

Think about the parts of town where you go to find things to buy, whether it be a mall, a strip mall, or even the market where companies and individuals are all set up to sell their goods.

Confessions of a REFORMED Twitter Spammer

I HATE spam just as much as you do I promise! I already receive over 100 legitimate emails each day and if you were to add the amount of spam messages I get I’d say the number would be closer to 1,000.

Thank God for spam filters!

If you couple this hatred with the fact that I wholeheartedly believe in working hard to attract highly targeted visitors to your website and not simply build traffic simply for the sake of building traffic, you may find it difficult to believe how I fell into the trap … that is unless you’ve fallen in the trap as well.

In fact you may be viewing your site as a HUGE expense and it doesn’t feel as if that expense is ever going to deliver any revenue.
I listened to a webinar that was put on by Yanik Silver . There was a ton of great info on how to discover your unique genius - and combine what you love with meaning and income. One of the most important things I took from the webinar was that you don’t have to go a million miles an hour toward reaching your goals. You can make significant progress by simply doing something consistently. They discussed a couple examples of individuals who had build entire businesses in approximately four hours that are producing significant income still today.

Focus on Providing Value, Not Making Money

Most of us get caught in the trap of constantly focusing on how we can make more money with our businesses. You know how it is … some nights you lay there in bed tossing and turning trying to figure out how you can increase your sales just an additionally $10k each month to afford that new employee, or maybe to simply stop ending up in the red each month. That can be a horrifying feeling and often eliminate any chances of you getting quality sleep until you figure it out.

Well, I am here to tell you that as long as you find yourself chasing the “almighty dollar” you’ll continue to be sleep deprived. I know this may sound crazy but it’s absolutely true.

How to Build a Killer Email Database

It is amazing how many companies don’t realize how incredibly valuable a solid email database is. It’s truly the most valuable online asset a company has, and yet, they seem to completely ignore the importance by not including any tactics or calls to action on their website asking for this priceless piece of information … the visitors email address.

Just think about it for a second. This person arrived on your website because they were interested in something you offer that is related to problem they are looking to solve. This automatically makes them a prospect for your offering, and therefore you should be interested in gaining the identity of that visitor.

Use Amazon.com to Get to Know Your Buyers Intimately

NEWS FLASH: Your buyers don’t care about you, your company, or your products! They only care about “What’s in it for them!”

I believe this is one of the most frequent statements we make on our blogs, in our articles, in our seminars and workshops, and in conversation. We say it because it is absolutely true and I recommend you take action which is consistent to the truthfulness of the statement. That is if you’d like your company to remain viable.

Building Trust and Friendships with Social Media

I’ve been in quite a few meetings lately where I listen to people complain about their declining sales numbers and they all seem to be focused intensely on the next tactic to use to increase their sales. Whether it is the new brochure, or the new addition to their website. The problem is …
Simply adding a tactic will never be a long term solution!

I want to make sure I don’t come across the wrong way. I am not saying I have all the solutions or that people who are experiencing declining sales are doing so because they don’t know what they are doing. I know we are in the midst of the worst economic conditions of all time and we are unfortunately all a victim of these circumstances. I personally look at difficult financial times as an excellent opportunity for the cream to rise to the top.
